ABOUT
Our mission is to provide a community compost program that unites, uplifts, and educates people as a solution to reverse global warming.
Full Circle Compost bins are constructed by hand in Topanga for use at home, commercially, and at the community scale. We offer in depth training and on-site compost services to ensure that all composting systems are successful.
With an emphasis on youth and education we resource schools with sustainable systems to expand or develop garden curriculums.
Full Circle Compost is a project of Move the World.

Santa Monica Mountains
In order to thoroughly address the specific needs of each compost site, we create a customized calendar of installation, maintenance visits and compost training workshops.
This approach ensures the longterm success of the compost system. We encourage customer engagement by providing all workshop materials, initial compost equipment, and ongoing site service if required.
SCHOOL SYSTEMS
Tiny hands reach eagerly into the cool soil. “A bug!” “I see a worm!” Our students clamor to touch the tiny invertebrates during their soil science lesson. A Full Circle Compost garden and compost expert shows the students how they are turning their school’s snack and lunch scraps into microbial rich soil.
- We install the system
- Roll it out through a school-wide assembly presentation
- We teach the students, faculty and maintenance crew how to successfully compost
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Full Circle Compost holds monthly bin build days, where volunteers learn with Master Carpenters and trained staff how to craft bins from upcycled shipping pallets.
We empower local community members by offering volunteer experiences during out reach events and teaching opportunities.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT & EVENTS
Bringing communities together around sustainability and zero waste can be fun, informative, and meaningful. Full Circle Compost invites Angelenos to engage with our program through events at our various sites including Will Rogers Learning Community (Santa Monica), Theatricum Botanicum (Topanga), and Plant Based Treaty (West LA).
Through partnerships with; Cal Recycle, Boys & Girls Club Malibu, LA STEM, LAUSD, SMMUSD, LA Compost, CACC and Growing Hope Gardens, FCC has been able to connect families from across Los Angeles teaching regenerative practices.
